NFL Confidence Picks WEEK 11 11/16,19,20/ 2017

 

 

 

NOW: KEEP IN MIND LIKE ALL MY POSTINGS, THIS  IS JUST MY OPINION.  And unfortunately you all have a right to yours.   lol

NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, wants a massive raise,  to $5o million a year.  Yet with a policy/RULE, in place addressing the unpatriotic kneeling……He says, (paraphrased) “I don’t know how to handle the situation”  How does that make him qualify for a raise, Reduction is more suitable  Is he so STUPID, he does not know how to read.  A real credit to his alma mater.   I R a gradiate of Washintn & Jefersn Coleege.  That is the image he puts forth for Washington & Jefferson College.  

Just enforce what is in place.  How hard can that be.  If you don’t like it CHANGE IT!  

I have just as rough a life as many (not all) of whom they are “PROTESTING FOR” .  I agree that the poor are not given equal justice.  But being unpatriotic is not the answer.  

I remember when I knew every Police officer in our county.  They treated us with respect.  We treated them with respect.  NOW is a different day.  I do not have the same respect for cops.  I have seen them use and abuse their powers.  I know of incidences where they planted evidence.  I can not prove these incidents, I just know of them. Cops cover themselves pretty well. I know of incidents when they have threatened to take children away if a witness  doesn’t say or do what they tell them. (I can not prove these incidents, I just know of them. Cops cover themselves pretty well).   Make no mistake; NOT ALL are like this.  I suspect, there are only a few bad apples, but those few make you distrust them in general.

The same goes for the court system.  We have a good old boy system.  It seems from my observation, the outcome is decided before it goes in front of the judge.  The average Joe, cannot afford a FORCE such as the Police Force.  Even if we could afford a lawyer, He cannot bribe a witness by either letting him off or lessening his sentence, to say what we want him to say.  We end up with underpaid, overworked, COURT appointed attorneys, or if you have a Public Defenders office.  Check how their Manpower and Budgets compare with the prosecutors office.  I could be wrong but they probably can not use the Police Dept., as the prosecutor can.

If only the Police had to follow the same shooting rules as a licensed individual, I think we would see less Killings, of the lower class, race, religion, etc.  But these athletes could be more productive by putting their money where their knee is.

Now for College football.  We need a real TOURNAMENT.  Champion against Champion.  But of course we know we can’t really do that.  Football players have all that padding and rules protecting them they can’t play but ONE game a week.  Every one knows they could play 2 games a week.  Basketball players take a worse beating every week,  and with out all the pads and protective rules.  (For those of you who didn’t know BASKETBALL IS A NO CONTACT SPORT.  I know from all the bloody noses, black eyes, scratches, floor burns, and all the rest of the injuries I suffered during my playing days.  Basketball players will play through most all injuries.  But not football players.  Now I am not necessarily putting sown the players, as I am their schedules.  I am positive THEY could play 2 games a week, (especially), with the number of players they carry on the roster.    

I remember a time when the University of Wisconsin beat more RANKED teams than the Florida teams even played.  I can’t remember which Florida team went to play for National Championship.  The point is DO NOT USE THAT OLD STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE ALIBI, TO KEEP WISCONSIN OUT OF THE PLAY OFFS.

 

While I have your attention.  let us think about the UCLA incident.  This is a major school.  Representing our United States in a foreign land.   The students could very well have been in prison for up to what 5 years.  But thanks in part to our President Trump.  They are home.  

I think back to a time when I was in Retail management.  Myself and an older management individual witnessed a local High School Basketball star, slip a piece of merchandise in his letterman jacket.  My elder manager said let me handle this.  We walked to where the boy was standing.  The manager started talking about basketball.  Then switched to the problem we were having with shoplifters.  He told them about the effect of having to raise prices to cover the losses.  He then went into how prosecution could ruin a young persons life.  We then walked away.  We watched as he took the item out and placed it in the bin.    That was all it took.   

However: Due to the schools high profile, and the players high profile, and sheer stupidity of their act.  I would say suspension from practice and games for the next 10-12 games (coincides with the possible 5 year sentence they could have received.(2 games for each year) ,and some community service, say speaking about shoplifting, should be sufficient.  BUT we know UCLA will not  do anything this strong.  After all UCLA Basketball means M_O_N_E_Y!

BOYCOTT NFL GAMES, MERCHANDISE, AND SPONSORS.  If you are a PATRIOTIC CITIZEN.  and don’t forget CQ magazine.  An Unpatriotic act by any one should not qualify him for “CITIZEN OF THE YEAR”.  I have been a better citizen than him.  You don’t see my name on that list.

For those of you who do not know how confidence ranking works, let me explain.

If we were playing an office pool,(which we ARE NOT).  The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game.  EXAMPLE:  Say this week we have 16 games.  The team you are most confident will win you would assign the number 16 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1.   We use the Monday night game(last game) as a TIE BREAKER.  The tie is broken by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating teams) final score, without going over.

If we were playing this is how my sheet would look;  My pick will be in bold Capital letters.  you can use circling, underlining, or highlighting.  I will show my correct points in Bold

YOU can adopt the scoring  described above.  Or, the optional method.  A  negative score for missed games.  We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions.  EXAMPLE:   if you scored 1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pts on the second game and lost you would still have a Positive 1.  HOWEVER. with the same scenario new scoring system would result with a -14 score.
