NFL CONFIDENCE PICKS WEEK 10 11/12-15-16/2020

I have to apologize again for server crashing.  We have now moved to our old server which we are sure will be more stable.  (We hope.)

STEELERS move to 9-8.  First Time in FRANCHISE HISTORY !

Keeping up with this schedule is impossible.  Example originally listed Chargers/Dolphins game, with Jets on bye.  Then according to NFL Schedule, as of Thursday Morning was listed as Jets/Dolphins. With Chargers on bye week.  Come game day it is back to Chargers/Dolphins and Jets on bye.  OH MY!  Also Steelers Bengals was listed as 13:00 game.  Today playing at 16:05.

NFL HAS CONTINGENCY PLAN.  If, ‘MEANINGFUL”, regular season games are cancelled due to, COVID-19 issues,  will add 1 playoff team to each conference.  (Would not  involve reseeding),  Also, approved a proposal to reward teams for developing minority coaches and front office executives who become Head Coaches or General Managers.(As I understand it); by giving a “COMPENSATORY 3rd round pick in the following two drafts.   (Needs NFLPA approval)

BROWNS: Baker Mayfield activated from COVID-19 Reserve list. Also activated from “Injured Reserve”, is star RB Nick Chubb.  Chubb will play against the Texans Sunday.

BEARS: RB David Montgomery will miss MNF’s game against the Vikings due to a concusion suffered last week against the Titans.

BILLS: CB Josh Norman, tests positive for COVID-19.  Will not play against Cardinals Sunday.  TE Tyler Kroft, CB Levi Wallace, and Safety, Dean Marlowe; identified as “close contact”, and placed on COVID-19 Reserve list. And will not travel to Arizona Sunday.

PATRIOTS: Cam Newton suffering a sore neck, (limiting movement), after a hit by Jets safety, Ashtyn Davis, which was ruled UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS Monday Night.   There will be no fans in the home stadium, the rest of the season.

PANTHERS: Coach Matt Rhule says Christian McCaffrey looks Pretty much out for this week. Will have to see about following week due to shoulder injury, suffered in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.  He is getting a second opinion.

SAINTS: Drew Brews will be out for for a FEW WEEKS. Drew Brees revealed that he has multiple rib fractures on both sides of his chest and a collapsed lung on the right side. Injuries suffered over two WEEKS.

SEAHAWKS: RBs Chris Carson, (foot injury), and Carlos Hyde (injured hamstring), will miss their 3rd straight game, after week 7.  DT Damon Harrison is activated to playing roster.  DT Bryan Mone placed on I/R list.  PR Benson Mayowa out for week 10. Activated DB Neiko Thorpe from IR.

STEELERS: Big Ben Roethlisberger expected to come off COVID-19 list and play against Bengals Sunday.

TEXANS: Placed RB David Johnson and LB Dylan Cole on IR list for a minimum of 3 weeks.

For those of you who are new here. This is  how confidence ranking goes, let me explain.

If we were playing an office pool,(which we ARE NOT).  The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game.  EXAMPLE:  Say this week we have 16 games.  The team you are most confident will win you would assign the number 16 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1.   You add up the TOTAL CORRECT PICKS.. That would be your score.  We use the Monday night (Last game played) as a TIE BREAKER.  The tie is broken by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating teams) final score, without going over.

YOU can adopt the scoring  described above.  Or, the optional method.  A  negative score for missed games.  We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions.  EXAMPLE:   if you scored     1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pts on the second game and lost you would still have  1 pt.

1.  HOWEVER. with the same scenario new scoring system would result with a –14 score

If we were playing this is how my sheet would look;  My pick will be in bold Capital letters.  you can use circling, underlining, or highlighting.  I will show my correct points in Bold

I will fill in my picks Thursday.  Until then feel free to:

Just copy and paste for your own Fun Pool Use.  Or to see if you can beat me.
