Imagine this if you can.
You are a basketball team ranked 19th in the nation. But the NCAA says there is no room for you in our National Championship Tournament.
That is exactly what happened to WABASH College of Crawfordsville, IN. The team has earned a national ranking and the NCAA can not find room for them in their 61 team field to play for the Division III National Championship.
I don’t know how the NCAA decides who plays in their Tournaments. But one would think any team in the top 25 would be invited to play. Sixty-one team minus the top 25 leaves 36 spots for other teams. I’m not sure how many of the other top 25 teams did not make the cut.
My question to the NCAA is how do you crown a true Champion if you omit any member of the top 25? Anyone? Anyone?
The only conclusion I can come to is this. NCAA Division III Championship is a SHAM.

Damn, I wish I could think of something smart like that!
