Welcome to our 6th year of NFL CONFIDENCE PICKS !!!!!
This also marks the 99th SEASON OF THE NFL!!
WHAT a Monday Night Game. I thought it would be a high scoring game; little did I think between these two teams (Number One RAMS and number 6 Chiefs), would score a combined 105 pts. Also being that close (54-51). Usually in HIGH SCORING GAMES it leans toward a lopsided score. I would think think the TIME ON FIELD for BOTH teams Offense and Defense must have been low. (DEFENSE)?
Early Games This Week. First game at 12:30 Thursday. Second at 16:30. Third at 20:20
Will the Cleveland BROWNS tie an NFL RECORD Sunday? Which was set by the Detroit LIONS from 2007-2010. A record they could break next week at HOUSTON. IF the BROWNS LOSE to INTRASTATE Cincinnati BENGALS it will mark their 26th consecutive ROAD LOSS. Should I wish them GOOD LUCK? YES. Good Luck if they tie the record, or GOOD LUCK, if they WIN, and keep from tying that record. (Their last win was a 33-30 OT win was in week 5 of 2015 over the Buffalo BILLS).
The answer is no! The Browns ended their Record tying streak by outscoring the BENGALS (on the Bengals home field) 35-20.
Patriot QB Tom Brady SURPASSED Peyton Manning’s PASSING YARDS RECORD. It took him EIGHT games more. Manning had 79.279 passing yard in 293 games (regular season and playoff games). Brady now has 79,416 combined passing yards. Which leads us to the question “will Brees play long enough after Brady’s retirement to break his record whatever that will be.
As a side note Brady is the first QB to have at least 26 wins against 2 teams. His victory over the Jets was his 26th, he also has 29 wins over the Buffalo Bills. (Green Bay’s Brett Favre had 26 wins against the Detroit Lions, and 23 wins over the Chicago Bears)
However hot on his tail in 3rd place is Saints Drew Brees with 77,716 total passing yards
Brady also has the most combined Rushing and Passing yards with 80,000. (More than any other player).

Eleven weeks; TEN OTs . Did we have that many for the whole season last year. For the first time we have less OTs THAN weeks.
Is it because of the rule changes or are we seeing more parity in the league.

For those of you who do not know how confidence ranking goes, let me explain.
If we were playing an office pool,(which we ARE NOT). The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game. EXAMPLE: Say this week we have 16 games. The team you are most confident will win you would assign the number 16 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1. You add up the TOTAL CORRECT PICKS.. That would be your score. We use the Monday night (Last game played) as a TIE BREAKER. The tie is broken by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating teams) final score, without going over.
If we were playing this is how my sheet would look; My pick will be in bold Capital letters. you can use circling, underlining, or highlighting. I will show my correct points in Bold
YOU can adopt the scoring described above. Or, the optional method. A negative score for missed games. We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions. EXAMPLE: if you scored 1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pts on the second game and lost you would still have a 1 on regular scoring.
1. HOWEVER. with the same scenario new scoring system would result with a –14 score.
I will fill in my picks Thursday. Until then feel free to:
