MY UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE at SUPER BOWL XLVIII

[adrotate group=”1″]   As most of you know I have been a Russell Wilson fan since before he was drafted into the NFL. So that is why I went.  Of course they had all the side events going on.  But it took all the money I had to buy the tickets and quarters to stay in and eat, and get there. So unless it was a free event I didn’t go.  So I will just skip to the main story.   Introduction As a die-hard Russell Wilson fan, attending Super Bowl XLVIII was a dream come true. The energy, the anticipation, and the sheer magnitude of the event left an indelible mark on my memory. Let me take you through my unforgettable experience at this historic game.    (I am still upset with Pete Carroll, for losing the next year by not allowing the “BEAST” MARSHAWN LYNCH, carry the ball into the endzone for a back to back SUPER BOWL WIN ! The Matchup   Super Bowl XLVIII took place on February 2, 2014, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It was a clash between the Denver BRONCOS (AFC champions) and the Seattle SEAHAWKS (NFC champions). The stakes were high—the coveted title of NFL champion for the 2013 season hung in the balance. The Dominant Seahawks From the moment the game kicked off, it was clear that the SEAHAWKS were on a mission. Their defense was relentless, stifling the BRONCOS’ offense led by the legendary Peyton Manning. The SEAHAWKS held the BRONCOS scoreless in the first half, taking a commanding 22–0 lead. The stadium buzzed with excitement as Seattle fans erupted in cheers. Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers I was uimpressed by the half time show.  I usually am.  (The only one I enjoyed was the Lady Gaga performance).     BUT some had this to say about the show that day.   The halftime show was electrifying. Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers took the stage, delivering a performance that had everyone on their feet. The energy, the lights, and the music—it was a spectacle that added to the grandeur of the event. The Final Score As the game progressed, the SEAHAWKS continued their dominance. They went up 36–0 before allowing the BRONCOS their only score—a mere consolation touchdown. The final score: Seattle SEAHAWKS 43, Denver BRONCOS 8. It was the largest margin of victory for an underdog in Super Bowl history. Malcolm Smith’s MVP Performance I didn’t agree with this.  To me there were 2 better choices.  Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch.  But to my chagrin,  THEY didn’t even ask me for my input.  (That is why I have not attended the Super Bowl again).   😉       Malcolm Smith, the SEAHAWKS linebacker, was named the Super Bowl MVP. His interception return for a touchdown and overall defensive prowess sealed the deal. The SEAHAWKS celebrated their first-ever Super Bowl victory, while the BRONCOS faced their fifth Super Bowl loss—a record at the time. A Cold-Weather Showdown Super Bowl XLVIII was unique for several reasons. It was the first Super Bowl played outdoors in a cold-weather city. The chilly New Jersey air added an extra layer of excitement. And to top it off, it was the first Super Bowl to be played on February 2. As I left MetLife Stadium that night, I couldn’t help but feel privileged to witness history. The SEAHAWKS dominant performance, the halftime show, and the camaraderie among fans—it all came together to create an experience I’ll cherish forever. Super Bowl XLVIII wasn’t just a game; it was a celebration of football, passion, and unforgettable memories. So here’s to the SEAHAWKS,  the BRONCOS, and the magic of Super Bowl XLVIII—a moment frozen in time, etched in my heart forever.      The highlight of the experience was watching Russell’s precision passes and, of course his running and staying away from the BRONCOS defense. 🏈🎉       Post Views: 80

NFL Confidence Picks WEEK 12 11/23,26,27/ 2017

I have been a fan of Mershawn Lynch, for sometime now.  The Strength he showed, the determination to give his best ALWAYS.  I supported him when he did not want to be interviewed.  YAY!  But he crossed that line when he decided to sit for OUR  AMERICAN ANTHEM, THEN STOOD UP FOR THE MEXICAN ANTHEM.  I have no problem with him standing for the Mexican Anthem, (HAD HE STOOD FOR HIS COUNTRY’S ANTHEM). I say he should be paid in Pesos.  I don’t even care how many Pesos they pay him as long it is relevant with the same ratio of the working class Mexican as it is with the working class American.  Average household income for the USA in 2016 was $59,039 a year.  (Wish I could make that.  But I am doing my part by keeping that average down).  The Mexican Average Household income was $12,800.  I will let you figure out the difference.  BUT, I am guessing the MEXICAN  average to be about 21.6% of that of the average AMERICAN.  Rounding to 20% would make 1 million equal $200,000.  (Sorry I am not good at converting Pesos to Dollars so I am stating in US dollars).  So he now makes $1,350,ooo.00 a year.  In Pesos/Dollars  he would, (again I am guessing), rounding down to 20%,  He would be earning, $200,070. a year,  (add that other 1.6%. won’t make a whole lot of difference. NOTE:  HOUSEHOLD REFERS NOT (necessarily), TO ONE WORKING PERSON BUT IN A HOUSEHOLD.  It could be ONE if only one person has an income.  But this is a primarily a two income society.   That is MY opinion! For those of you who do not know how confidence ranking works, let me explain. If we were playing an office pool,(which we ARE NOT).  The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game.  EXAMPLE:  Say this week we have 16 games.  The team you are most confident will win you would assign the number 16 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1.   We use the Monday night game(last game) as a TIE BREAKER.  The tie is broken by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating teams) final score, without going over. If we were playing this is how my sheet would look;  My pick will be in bold Capital letters.  you can use circling, underlining, or highlighting.  I will show my correct points in Bold YOU can adopt the scoring  described above.  Or, the optional method.  A  negative score for missed games.  We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions.  EXAMPLE:   if you scored 1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pts on the second game and lost you would still have a Positive 1.  HOWEVER. with the same scenario new scoring system would result with a -14 score. I will fill in my picks Thursday.  Until then feel free to: Just copy and paste for your own Fun Pool Use.  Or to see if you can beat me. NFL Confidence Week 13 Nov 27-30 Dec. 01, 2014

At long last I had a pretty good week.  The Bengals game was one where I was torn between the numbers and what I actually thought.  But the numbers said different. But that was only 1 point. Cleveland Vs. Atlanta was a real toss up for me.  But ,again that was only 2 points.   Poor MARSHAWN LYNCH!  If he doesn’t speak to the press, he gets fined.  If he does speak he is criticized.  He is a MAN who does his talking on the “field of battle”. Yes.  I know it is part of the business, that he may have to talk to the press.  BUT;  some people are really uncomfortable speaking in public.  I can sympathize with this feeling.   When I was 15  I started as a radio announcer/engineer.  I was always complimented on my broadcasts.  HOWEVER,  I could not say a word straight if someone was watching me.  If we had station visitors,  I would have to pull the blind to my studio.  I did my job.  I entertained people.  (As long as I was just a voice.  Not if I was a visible image).   Marshawn Lynch does his job.  He is a very strong, and exceptional FOOTBALL PLAYER. Some people crave the spotlight.  People like Mr. Lynch, prefer to have the spotlight put ON THE  TEAM.     Leave him alone. Saints Vs Ravens was anyones call. The big SURPRISE for me; as I am sure anyone else’s was the total UpSeT,  the RAIDERS pulled off which cost me 10 POINTS.  Congrats to the Raiders. 2014 NFL Team Schedule For those of you who do not know how confidence ranking goes, let me explain. If we were playing an office pool,(which we ARE NOT).  The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game.  EXAMPLE:  Say this week we have 17 games.  The team you are most confident will win you would ssign the number 17 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1.   We use the Monday night game as a TIE BREAKER.  The tie is broke by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating tams) final score, without going over. If we were playing this is how my sheet would look;  My pick will be in bold Capital letters.  you can use circling, underlining, or highlighting.  I will show my correct points in Bold   This year I am making a change in the scoring.  YOU can adopt the new scoring or continue to use the old scoring. This year we get a negative score for missed games.  We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions.  EXAMPLE:  LAST YEAR if you scored 1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pt miss on the second game you would still have a Positive 1.  HOWEVER. this year the same scenario would result with a -14 score.
